Do I need an API key to use PostNitro with Claude?

No. PostNitro is listed in Claude's Connector Directory, so you connect in one click and sign in with your PostNitro account. The MCP server implements OAuth 2.1 with dynamic client registration, which is what removes the key step. The CLI and REST API do use an API key.

Can an agent publish without me approving each post?

Yes. An agent can generate, schedule and publish in a single chain with no review step. If you would rather review, ask for the DESIGN output or save posts as drafts instead of scheduling them, and approve in the editor.

What does agent access cost?

Programmatic access is a $10/month add-on that includes 250 credits, purchased on top of any paid PostNitro plan, or bundled into a Plus plan. Credit volume can be increased. An imported slide costs 1 credit; an AI-generated slide costs 2. There is no free tier for the API.

Which platforms can an agent publish to?

LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok and Threads, natively. X (Twitter) is supported as a content source and an export format, not a publishing destination.

Is video AI-generated?

No, and that distinction matters. Video output is your carousel slides rendered as an MP4, with animated slide text and audio you choose. It is a design feature rather than a generative video model — and it is how carousels reach TikTok, which static-export tools cannot do.
