How To Make And Edit A Video With Nitro AI?

Nitro AI, the AI chat in the editor, can do most of what Video and Audio do. Say what you want in your own words, and it makes the change on your design, where you can see it play. Each change is one step to undo.

Nitro AI’s video tools are part of paid plans. On the free plan it offers the upgrade instead, and you can do all of it by hand in Video and Audio.

Make a video

From a topic: “Make a video about remote work with a voiceover and music”. Nitro AI writes the slides, animates them, writes a voiceover script for them and picks music, from one message. It asks before it records the voiceover.
From a carousel or an image: “Animate this carousel”. Nitro AI makes it a video and animates it, with a style that suits it. Asked to animate one thing only, such as a title, it animates that, and the other slides get the gentle Clean style.
“Make it a video”, or “turn it back into a carousel”: your design posts as a video everywhere while it’s one, and keeps its animations when you turn it back.

Animate it

A style for the whole video, or some slides: “use the cinematic style”, “make it more dynamic”, “make slide 3 bold”.
What moves on a slide, and in what order: “type the title in, then the image, then make the button pop”, “make the list items appear one by one”, “make the button pulse”.
On other slides: “give slide 2’s animations to every other slide”. Right after a change, “do the same on the other slides” works too. Each slide takes its own copy, element by element, as Apply to other slides gives it. See Set slide timing.
Off again: “remove all the animations”.

Time it

“Make every slide 3 seconds”, “hold the last slide a bit longer”, “make it faster”.
“Fit the video to 30 seconds”.
“Add a fade transition between slides”, “use a push transition going up”, “no transitions please”.

Voiceover and captions

“Add a voiceover”, or “narrate it, humorous and jolly”: Nitro AI writes the script in the tone you describe, in your own words, saves it on your slides and says the tone it used, then asks before it records. Say yes, or “go ahead and record it”, to record it.
“Make it a bold style”: a style replaces the slides’ animations, and Nitro AI says what it replaced, such as the Clean style or a slide’s own animations.
“Use a deeper male voice”, “mute slide 3”, “set slide 2’s script to: …”.
“Make the captions bigger”, “set the captions in the body font”.

Music

“Add some music”, “use Morning Run”, “make the music quieter”, “start the music 10 seconds in”, “cut the slides on the beat”.

Nitro AI uses your workspace’s own tracks: add one in Audio, on its Music tab, first, from the music library or an upload. See Add music.

Your styles and sequences

“Apply our Brand Intro style”, “give slide 3 our Title Pop sequence”.
“Save this video’s motion as a style called Launch Look”, “save slide 2’s animations as a sequence”.

They’re your workspace’s, shared with everyone in it, as in Video, where you can rename or delete them. See Pick a motion style.

Watch and download it

“Show me”, “play the video” or “play it from slide 3” open the video’s preview. Asked to download it, Nitro AI opens the preview: click Download MP4 there to start the download. See Preview and download.
